Zoo classes at the Central Florida Zoological Park held on the 2nd & 4th Tuesdays of the month with occasional changes due to holiday scheduling. There is normally a HCECF morning class and an afternoon class. This is a GREAT way to spend the day at the zoo. The classes are purposely spaced, so there is a lunch break in between.
Morning Class (11:30 am - Noon) - HCECF members and guests ONLY. Registration and payment for these classes are handled directly by HCECF, not the zoo. You must R.S.V.P. and pay for these classes by the first of the month. Class sizes are limited. Geared for preK-2nd graders and their families.
Afternoon Class (2:00 pm - 4:00 pm) - All homeschoolers in the age range for that specific class. You MUST observe the age requirements for these classes. Classes are $12.00 for members and $15.00 for non-members. These classes fill up FAST, so be sure to reserve with the zoo ASAP.
Many of the class topics have been selected to coordinate with the HCECF Science classes.
Some months (April, May, October) the zoo has a FREE storytime. For the convenience of HCECF members, the dates that coincide with our classes are listed below. Storytimes are held 10:00 am - 10:30 am.
HCECF class - registration and payment handled only through HCECF. Registration and payment is always due by the FIRST of the month.
ZOO Homeschool Class - registration and payment handled only through the ZOO via their website. Please respect the listed age ranges.
Classes are held the SECOND and FORTH TUESDAY of the month. ZooLab Classes do not follow this schedule.
*No Zoo Classes during Summer due to Summer Camp Programs
