HCECF's Eco-Adventures is a monthly ecology class that was incorporated into our science studies in 2006. This on-going class meets on the first Wednesday of each month in Apopka and is just one of the many great science offerings available through HCECF's STEM-IT program.
HCECF's Eco-Adventures program topics include:
Public speaking, planning and preparation can also be incorporated into this program as HCECF's Eco-Adventures classes can be taught by the homeschooled children upon request. Our regular adult instructors are great, but some of our most memorable classes have been student led.
Other great science oppurtunities to check out through HCECF's STEM-IT program includes our science classes, zoo classes, engineering workshops and BRICKschoolers Lego programs. STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) related competitions that HCECF participates in include the EARLY Robotics competition, FIRST competitions - FLL and JFLL, Science Fairs, Science Olympiad teams and SECME teams.
