There are TWO different camping options:
OPTION 1:
Group TENT camping sites per nightly rental -
$2.00 per person (everyone ages 3+)
There are grills in the group tent camping site area and others scattered around the park.
There is a clean bath house with showers available that is shared by the group tent camping sites and the RV sites. There is water at the group tent camping site, but not electricity.
Arrangements for this are being handled by Denny. Payment required by 3/15/2007. Please include aproximate size of tent(s), pavillions, dining flies etc for space planning. Also need to know if you are staying Friday night, Saturday night or both.
NO PETS ARE PERMITTED IN THE HCECF GROUP TENT CAMPING AREA OR FRIENDSHIP DRUM CIRCLE. Families with pets MUST use option 2. Someone MUST remain with pets at ALL times per park rules.
OPTION 2:
RV / POP UP TRAILER camping sites per nightly rental for a single family -
$18.00 for Orange County Residents
$23.00 for non Orange County Residents
These MUST be reserved through the park. YOU MUST RESERVE YOUR SITE IN PERSON ONLY. NO PHONE RESERVATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Magnolia Parks phone # is 407 886 4231, but PLEASE DO NOT ASK THEM TO MAKE AN EXCEPTION FOR YOU. If you need an RV spot and have no way of getting to the park, holler at denny (hcecf.drums@gmail.com) to see if arrangements can be made. You can reserve the RV camping spots starting on March 18, 2008. It is HIGHLY RECCOMMENDED that you do it ASAP, since there is an extremely limited number of RV camping spaces available. There is electricty at all RV sites and a dump station on premises. There is a clean bath house with showers that is shared by the RV sites and the group tent camping sites.
DAYTRIP OPTION:
Don't like camping and / or can't camp? But don't want to miss out on all the fun? There's an option for you also! Simply donate a canned good or other non-perishable item to the HEARTS groups efforts on the day(s) of your attendance in order to daytrip. Arrangements have been made, so that you'll be able to exit the park after the official closing time on Friday and Saturday. You will not need to miss the nightly bonfire drum circle.
Stuff to bring:
This is not an all inclusive list - just a few things to help jog your memory. Different families will have different needs, but basics might include - tent, rv, trailer, sleeping bags, food, bug spray, sunblock, water, medications, toiletries, first aid kit, cell phone, camera etc.
What not to bring:
Pets. Although pets are welcome at Magnolia Park, we'd strongly discourage you from attending with your pet if you have another option. The peacocks at Magnolia Park tend to make most pets a little excited. Anyone camping with pets MUST use an RV spot and not the group tenting area. Someone MUST remain with the pet at ALL times according to park rules. Pets will NOT be permitted in the group camping areas or friendship drum circle where the activities are held for this event. Service dogs are the only exception to this.
Weapons
Alcohol - Magnolia Park is a dry site
Anything Illegal - now that's a no brainer.
