The Arts and HCECF
Fine arts, performing arts, visual arts, applied arts, crafts, music and more; HCECF provides a variety of artistic opportunities for our families.
Here's a sampling of them:
- Art, Artists and Art History Class held weekly
- Art Museum Fieldtrips
- Art Show participation by the HCECF group at one of the area's larger art shows held annually
- Ballroom Dance Class
- Chalk It Up! chalk art contest held annually at HCECF's drum building campout
- Concerts, both at public venues and our own private ones for HCECF families - musical styles run the gamut from bluegrass, children's, classical, folk, popular, renaissance and more!
- Culinary Arts coops, fieldtrips & workshops
- Drum Building Workshops
- Drum Circles
- Card projects for H.E.A.R.T.S. Community Service Program
- Homeschool Booth at a local Bluegrass Festival is run by HCECF members annually
- Performing Arts Fieldtrips
- Public speaking and performance opportunities
- Sewing and Handicrafts coops as part of our Life Skills Series
- Summer Arts and Crafts Coop held weekly
Many opportunities for students to express themselves in the arts are also available as part of our other HCECF classes and coops.
